2021 US vs JONATHAN TOEBBE and DIANA TOEBBE

This is the formal charge against Jonathan Toebbe and his wife.

In 2021, FBI and NCIS arrested Jonathan Toebbe and his wife Diana Toebbe on conspiracy to commit espionage. Jonathan Toebbe was an NRHW engineer in 08I. In 2022, he pleaded guilty and admitted that he sold restricted data on the design of nuclear-powered ships to someone representing an unnamed foreign country. That person was an undercover FBI agent. The FBI claims the couple transferred some of the secret information through peanut butter sandwiches and chewing gum wrappers.

In 2022, Jonathan Toebbe was sentenced to 19 years and Diana Toebbe was sentenced to 21 years.

On 3/15/2022, the New York Times reported that the target country of the Toebbe's was Brazil.
