1991 GAO Testimony on ESH at NR Facilities

This GAO testimony was in response to allegations involving employee over-exposure to radiation, reactor safety, asbestos issues, and improper management of radioactive waste. The testimony was very favorable to NR as follows: "In the past we have testified many times before this Committee regarding problems in the Department of Energy (DOE). It is a pleasure to be here today to discuss a positive program in DOE. In summary, Mr. Chairman, we have reviewed the environmental, health, and safety practices at the Naval Reactors laboratories and sites and have found no significant deficiencies."
