Main menu pull down sub-menus and text input pulldown selections don't disappear for iPads. Tried on multiple iPad's and different browsers (duck-duck go and Safari).
Find problem with iPads and get fixed so works like all other devices.
mwh 4/27/2024: called wix tech support with following issue "Title: Wix Technical Assistant - Live site issues
Description: For iPad's only, when a sub-menu is pulled up and a sub-menu is selected, the sub-menu (pull-down) doesn't hide. Have a similar issue with selecting input pulldowns (again iPad's only) where the selection isn't chosen then hide the pulldown choices. Works fine for all other browsers and devices. This is a desktop but shows what the iPad get's stuck at when a selection is made." They are investigating.
mwh 4/27/2024: Wix Customer Care Expert called and showed that works fine on iPad Pro Emulator. Walked through their troubleshooting steps on actiual iPad (mine) - cleared caches, confirmed valid version of Safari, confirmed no custom source code, tried different wifi source, confirmed no active extensions. They are escallating to the Advanced Team. Ticket number 300084884.
mwh: 4/30/2024: This is Autumn with Wix Quality Assurance Team.
I understand you are experiencing an issue with your sub menu not disappearing after selecting one of the submenu items on ipad.
We are currently aware of this issue. As soon as we have additional information regarding this issue, we will reach out to you.
We apologize for any inconvenience that this may have caused you.
As a workaround, you can add a new horizontal menu and customize it to look like your current menu. This will resolve the issue
mwh: 5/1/2024: The current horizontal menu you are using is the original menu from the site theme, which is causing the issue.
Adding a new horizontal menu will remove any corruption and will resolve both issues you are experiencing.
Once you have added the new menu, you can customize it and add sub-menu items.
I would recommend settings up an advanced menu as well, this is something you can enable after adding a new menu to your editor.
Below, I have included more information:
Adding and Setting Up Advanced Menus
Please note: Advanced menus do not sync across desktop and mobile, you will have to enable the advanced menu on both sides. Then re-order the pages and submenus so they reflect the same on desktop and mobile.
Recommended Action:
Revised menu structure per wix guidance in Version 4.00
